What a beautiful memory the creation of Quilts by the Bay is for us.  The shop was born 25 years ago in Galveston, Texas and soon after was voted one of America's favorite quiltshops by American Patchwork and Quilting.   Our passion for quilting soon bloomed into a beautiful shop where anyone could come and create beautiful works of Art and stay as long as they desired each day, interacting with others who were passionalte about quilting.  

 All of my children (and grandchildren) have been part of the shop over the years, but Sarah became the manager and web designer in 2007.  God has blessed us with a multitude of opportunies through the years but chose to take the storefront away in 2008 when Hurricane Ike hit us with a vengeance.  He's taken us down a different pathway since that day by opening the doors for mission work for mom and a new career with United Notions for Sarah.

  We still love sharing our passion for quilting with others, but now it's through our website only.  We thank God for every person He gives us to serve and look forward to what He has in store for us next.   Many blessings to each of you,  Patricia and Sarah
